The beach is one of the few things I miss about the Philippines. Just a few minutes drive and you get to relax, forget about work, and enjoy the sun and the sea. Beaches are quite rare here in Singapore and are way too far from the ones we have back home. The good side of being here though is being able to explore the beaches of other countries - Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia.

For the past few weeks, we've been so tied up with work and some paperwork on the side. And the beach has been calling us to sit back, relax, and get a massage. Finally, the long overdue weekend getaway has come, and off we go to Bintan.
Bintan Agro Beach Resort - offers a birthday package (you can actually avail of it even if it's not your birthday) that includes breakfast, dinner, and a choice of either massage or water activity. The package rates range from 129-150sgd. A 2-hour (busted a/c) ferry ride, an hour drive to the resort from the port, then we reached our destination. The staff are friendly and accommodating; the place is clean; food is delish, and the massage by the beach is relaxing.
