Johor Bahru

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Johor Bahru is the capital city of Johor in southern Malaysia. Johor Bahru is the southernmost city of the Eurasian mainland. Pasir Pelangi, the royal village, is located within Johor Bahru. With a population of approximately 900,000 in the city, and nearly 2 million in the metropolitan area, Johor Bahru is the second largest urban area in Malaysia, after the national capital, Kuala Lumpur, and its associated Klang Valley region.
Going to JB is an hour (plus few minutes including 2 immigration stop-over) bus ride from Singapore (Kranji Station). We crossed the pedestrian bridge from JB Sentral to City Square Mall to have lunch at Sizzling Stone Grill. At around 1pm, we went back to CIQ 2nd link to catch a bus to JPO (Johor Premium Outlet). The travel time to JPO from JB Sentral is approximately 1hr.
JPO1 schedule
We took the 5:30pm bus back to JB Sentral after few hours of window shopping. Dinner at Nando's ended the JB trip and a little grocery shopping for the friends.
